What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy aims to optimise your health. It is personal to you, aiming to improve your overall health, address any health issues and help prevent disease by carefully looking at what you really need in the way of food, vitamins, minerals and lifestyle.

The nutritional assessment is based on careful scientific analysis, backed up by a clear knowledge of your general state of health.

Your initial consultation will last 1 hour. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire before attending your first consultation.

At the first session I will take a detailed case history which will include discussing your current health, the food you eat and your lifestyle. Recommendations will be made about foods, and possibly supplements to address your health issues. Specific tests to provide further information may also be recommended.

Progress will be reviewed and adjusted at follow-up consultations which last 30 minutes, so that a long term strategy is developed. Normally 3-4 sessions are required.

Feel better

Optimising your nutritional health can help you to:

  • improve quality of sleep
  • improve resistance to infections and disease
  • improve concentration
  • increase physical stamina & energy
  • support you to cope better with stress – relieve anxiety and depression
  • balance changes in hormone levels
  • enhance your "quality of life" and extend your healthy lifespan

Nutritional Therapy provides you with the tools to determine your own physical and mental well-being.

Invest in your health

Investing in your health is the single most important thing you can do to build a better quality of life. You don't have to be rich and you don't have to be “lucky”, the tools are all around you –sufficient good food, clean water, sunlight, fresh air, exercise and sufficient rest. You can support your body to protect yourself, through improved nutrition.Optimum nutrition for optimum health.
