After many years of growing food, looking after gardens, cooking, eating and friendship, we are happy to share it with you.

Home Grown Gardens

Carolyn attained the RHS Level 2 in Horticulture in 2006 at RHS Harlow Carr in Yorkshire. For 2007 she attended RHS Harlow Carr's Plantsmanship and Planting Design course. In 2008 she attained the City & Guilds Level 2 in Garden Design. For 2009 she attained the Certificate in Garden Art and Design at Leeds Met University/Harlow Carr. In 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 she did the Plantsmanship and Planting Design Course run by Jane Cordingley, at Skipwith Hall. In 2014 a lovely 2 days was spent on a Botanical Art course. Voluntary work includes running lunchtime gardening clubs at a local Primary and Secondary school; Trustee and volunteer at a local Horticultural Training Charity for adults with learning disabilities; committee member of the Harrogate & District Biodiversity Action Group, and the Pinewoods Conservation Group; Gardening volunteer at Harrogate NHS Trust Hospital. Awards: 2015 Harrogate & District Volunteering Oscars - Wildlife Volunteer; 2014 Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust - Volunteer of the Year.
